I’ve got two pairs of creepers and they are both double sole. I really like the bold look and that I am taller with them but you should consider if you want to wear them everyday. There are times when I wear them everyday and you really have to get used to it because the double sole (especialle the anarchic and underground ones) are quite heavy. I know the demonia ones are lighter, but I have never worn those. Another thing you should think about is if you care about what people think because the double sole creepers tend to get more intention than single sole ones because they look bolder. Oh and I can imagine that it will take a bit longer ‘till you’ve got to bring the creepers to the shoemaker to fix the little parts between sole and shoe that come off after time when you buy single sole creepers because they bend more easily. But in the end it’s just about what you like more, really. :) I hope I was be any help.
Thanks a lot. :) <3
My first language is german. :)
I think you should compare different online shops because there is a difference per brand but also per online shop and so is the shipping. But personally I’d suggeset Demonia if you can get them cheapter than the underground ones if that’s what you like. the white ones are alright to clean, I used to do it with nailpolish remover which left yellow spots after two years but if you do it with paper towels and water and maybe soap, it will be alright. For the really bad spots you can still use nailpolish remover but be careful with is.
Yeah, I remember, it was this post. So, can you tell us anything? For how long do you have them and do you have any experience in how long they last? :)
I went out in them a week ago and got huge blisters on my heels, cause I didnt think to break them in first. I had to wear open back shoes for 4 days… And I still can’t wear my Creepers cause they hurt so bad still. Grr you blisters!
I’ve tried stretching the back of them, they’re so stiff still. I’m gonna have to break them in when my blisters are fully healed
For my experience I can say that creepers never ‘break in’. The sole may get more comfortable once your foot left a noticable print on them but they don’t 'break in’. Most people (like me) have problems with the bck of their feet rubbing against the shoe. Thick socks help about that. I had best results when I was wearing tights and put on extra thick socks over them for wearing my creepers, I never had any problem with that. If you’re wearing long pants with your creepers you could try (if you don’t want to put on extra tights, I understand that it can be too warm or uncomfortable) knee high socks (the ones that got the same fabric like tights) and then socks. That works because you have an extra layer over your heel that does not move when your shoe does.
I know my explanation isn’t the best, I’m not always best with english.
