bastardbaby-deactivated20121110 asked: What are the cheapest place to by them where they hold up at least okay? And how long does shipping take? I go back to school in about a month, and I want them to get here before that.
Also, are the white ones with the black detailing easy to clean?
I think you should compare different online shops because there is a difference per brand but also per online shop and so is the shipping. But personally I’d suggeset Demonia if you can get them cheapter than the underground ones if that’s what you like. the white ones are alright to clean, I used to do it with nailpolish remover which left yellow spots after two years but if you do it with paper towels and water and maybe soap, it will be alright. For the really bad spots you can still use nailpolish remover but be careful with is.
unmotivatedlazyturd asked: so what type of creepers do you reccomend, knock offs? or is there a good website?
There aren’t really ‘knock-off’ creepers, imo. Because creepers aren’t bound to one single brand. I do recommend underground shoes for their high quality. There is also tuk (actually I think they quality got better since I last talked to someone with tuk creepers.) , demonia and bodyline (low quality but cheap) and I am sure there are even more brands I don’t know or websites that sell creepers without a brand name to them like they do at camden market. It depends on what is available to you. I remember when I was in London, I had the opportunity to pick from more than one brand and compare them, that was best ofcourse but not everybody got that privilige. Long story short, it depends on what is available to you but I recommend underground shoes. :)
thecatfather-deactivated2011110 asked: i'm thinking about ordering demonia creepers size 12 Male US (i'm pretty sure they are double soled), based upon your experince with creepers, should i buy a size up from my normal size (US Male 12) or is that size gonna be a good fit. i'm a first time buyer but i don't want to get the wrong size and have problems returning. thanks
It would be best ofcourse if you have the possibility to try them one first.. like if there is a store that has demonia creepers even though those are not the type you want, you could still try the sizes or if a friend got demonia creepers, you could try those, too. But I guess the above are not options available to you since you sure had those ideas already before me. So what I would suggest is yes, buy them one size larger or at least half a size. (I don’t know if demonia got half sizes, I know that it is possible with underground) The thing is: you can always were them with thick(?) socks. That’s something I would suggest anyways, I tend to wear my creepers (which are a bit too big because the smaller size was always too small) with one pair of normal and one pair of really thick socks so it is more comfortable. I don’t get blisters when I do it like this. The sole of creepers is really firm so the shoes tend to rub on your knuckles when you walk and wearing too thin socks can cause irritation on your skin and you either rub off some skin or get blisters. Long story short: yes, buy a size up if you’re not sure how they’ll fit. :)
Anonymous asked: This is for the other person that asked about which brand to buy, I bought mine from underground originals. They're really sturdy and the two pairs I have, have lasted me years. I did buy one pair of knee high creeper boots from demonia, and k don't know if it was just a one time mistake, but the rubber sole was red and just thinly painted black. Only one of them though. but I only found out after they were in no condition to be returned (from walking around so much to have noticed). So I now walk around looking like i've stepped in red paint somewhere. It may not happen with all demonia shoes, but I wouldn't trust them with my money.
There you go. :) (I recommend underground, too, btw.)
